What are the deadlines for pre-registration and enrollment in the doctoral programs for the 2024/2025 academic year?

  • Pre-registration: from July 19 to September 13
  • Publication of provisional results: October 14
  • Claims or corrections: October 14 to 21
  • Publication of final results: October 29
  • Enrollment: October 29 to November 1

Extraordinary pre-registration deadline:

An extraordinary pre-registration period opens for doctoral programs that have not filled their available spots.

The procedure for this extraordinary period will be as follows:

  • Upon receiving the pre-registration, the documentation will be reviewed to check if it meets the access requirements.
  • If the requirements are met, the pre-registration will be sent to the doctoral program for possible admission.
  • If admitted, the student will receive an appointment for enrollment.
  • If not admitted, the student will be informed.

The extraordinary pre-registration period will remain open until the deadline set in the pre-registration application or until there are no available spots.

What documentation should I attach to the pre-registration request for doctoral programs?

The documentation to upload in the “Attach documentation” section of the pre-registration form is as follows:

  • Mandatory COMMON documentation for all students:
    • ID (both sides), NIE (for residents in Spain), or Passport (for foreigners). Students accessing with UMH degrees do not need to submit this document.
    • Standardized Curriculum Vitae.
  • Mandatory ADDITIONAL documentation depending on the mode of access to the doctoral program:
    1. For students with Spanish official bachelor’s and master’s degrees (or equivalents), who have completed at least 300 ECTS credits in these two programs:
      • Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (both sides).
      • Academic transcript with GPA. If this document is not provided, the GPA used for admission will be 5.0 (on a scale from 0 to 10).
    2. For students with official Spanish university degrees or equivalents who have completed at least 300 ECTS credits and meet level 3 of the MECES:
      • Official bachelor’s or master’s degrees (both sides).
      • Academic transcript(s) with GPA. If not submitted, the GPA used for admission will be 5.0. (en una escala de 0 a 10).
      • European Diploma Supplement (SET) or accreditation of level 3 of MECES.
    3. For students with degrees from the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and level 7 accreditation from MEC:
      • Degree(s) that grant access to doctoral studies in the issuing country.
      • Academic transcript(s) of studies that grant access to doctoral studies.
      • European Diploma Supplement (SET) or level 7 accreditation from the European Qualifications Framework.
      • Statement of equivalence for the GPA of studies completed at foreign institutions. This is mandatory for admission requests with excess demand.       • Sworn translation of the degree (only for documents in languages other than Spanish, Valencian, or English). If the degree supplement is in English, no translation is required.
      • Sworn translation of the academic transcript (only for documents in languages other than Spanish, Valencian, or English). If the degree supplement is in English, no translation is required.
      • Homologation or equivalence of the degree issued by the Spanish Ministry, if applicable.
    4. For students with non-EHEA degrees:
      • Degree(s) that grant access to doctoral studies (legalized via diplomatic channels).
      • Academic transcript(s) (legalized via diplomatic channels).
      • Certificate confirming the degree grants access to doctoral studies in the issuing country (legalized via diplomatic channels).
      • Statement of equivalence for the GPA. This is mandatory for admission requests with excess demand. [Link to statement] If not submitted, the GPA used for admission will be 5.0.
      • Sworn translation of the degree (only for documents in languages other than Spanish, Valencian, or English).
      • Sworn translation of the academic transcript (only for documents in languages other than Spanish, Valencian, or English).
      • As the degree is from a non-EHEA country, a fee of €155.22 for the equivalency study will apply. To download the receipt for the fee, select:
        Type: General Management Service Fees
        Subtype: Equivalency study. Foreign degrees for access to Master’s or Doctoral programs.
        You must provide the payment receipt when completing the pre-registration.
    5. For students with a Doctoral degree:
      • Doctoral degree (both sides).
      • Sworn translation of the degree (only for documents in languages other than Spanish, Valencian, or English).
      • Academic certificate of the degree granting access to doctoral studies with GPA. If not submitted, the GPA used for admission will be 5.0.
      • En el caso de que los documentos (Título y Certificación académica del título universitario de acceso) sean de un país NO perteneciente al Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES), tendrá que presentar los documentos legalizados por vía diplomática.
    6. For students with at least two years of positive evaluation in a Health Sciences Specialist title:
      • Degree granting access to the specialty (both sides).
      • Specialist degree or certificate with at least two years of positive evaluation.
      • Academic certificate with GPA. If not submitted, the GPA used for admission will be 5.0. (en una escala de 0 a 10).
  • For doctoral programs requiring additional documents based on admission criteria, these must be provided in the same pre-registration.   Check the admission criteria for each doctoral program.(abre en nueva ventana)

Where is the pre-registration done, and where should the corresponding documentation be submitted?

Pre-registration should be done through the pre-registration form. All required documentation must be uploaded as PDF files. The documents must be valid electronically issued certificates.

No requests will be accepted outside of these periods.

Where and when will the provisional and final admission results be published?

The provisional and final admission results can be personally consulted with the pre-registration key (from the pre-registration form).

Results will be published as follows:

  • Provisional results: October 14, 2024, from 2:00 PM.
  • Final results: October 29, 2024.

How should I proceed to correct or appeal my application?

Students can submit requests for corrections or appeals during the approved period in the Academic Calendar. (abre en nueva ventana)

  • Corrections: Students with applications in “Correction” status must access the pre-registration application and upload the required documents.
  • Appeals: Students dissatisfied with their admission score must submit an appeal through a general request sent to the Doctoral School, preferably via the Electronic Headquarters.(abre en nueva ventana).
  • For the 2024/2025 academic year, the correction or appeal period is from October 14 to October 21, 2024.
